perspective of 12 – bridge

While in Provo this last weekend I went on a short hike and found this awesome rusty bridge. The colors of the rust, contrasting the color of the leaves and the cloudy sky made the whole collection really come together. Here are a few of my favorite shots all from different vantage points, with different things in focus, and with different depths of field. Let me know which ones you enjoy the most…

The location of these pictures was so serene. It was in a canyon, on a little walking path. I climbed under the bridge to get lower angle shots, and walked around it to get wider angle pictures of the bridge. I had two gorgeous models with me as well on this day. Thank you Chelsey and Kaylie. I cropped each of the images to put subjects and significant lines on the thirds. I added sharpness to some objects such as the spider webs to make them really detailed. I increased the saturation of the reds on the bridge in several of the pictures so that you would get a good idea of how it looked in person. By increasing some of the shadows on the images it helped to unify the lighting across the whole image. I added some blue back to the sky in the first image. I took away all of the reds and oranges in the “Caution” image. This added a unique feel to this image, especially since the background is still in color. The red of the sign was very strong and I thought it would be more original if I took out the reds and left the greens and yellows.

  1. I like the human interaction in your images. I especially love the detail ones with the girls shoes. Well done!

  2. Nice job Brett! I really like the shots with the shoes- it’s a different perspective that’s a lot of fun. Nice job looking for different angles and things to take note of.
